Un/Said is a quarterly creative slam for work that exists before it's been given permission to exist. One prompt, announced a week in advance. Five minutes per performer. Any medium — spoken word, song, story, visual work performed live. The audience votes on who the world should read next. The winner is featured in the following Un/Read issue.

How it works

One night. Four steps.

The Prompt
One topic announced one week before the slam. Everyone works from the same starting point.

The Stage
Five minutes per performer. Any medium. Spoken word, music, story, visual. The bar is presence, not perfection.

The Vote
Audience votes via QR code after all performances. One winner per slam, chosen by the room.

The Feature
The winner is featured in the next Un/Read issue. Her work, her words — in front of the whole newsletter audience.
